Why is MEF planning this Auction Gala?
To diversify our fundraising efforts and bring the community together for a fun and enjoyable evening.
How will the funds be used?
Funds raised from this event will supplement our annual campaign fundraising efforts which supports every student, every day by helping bridge the gap between state education funding and the real cost of educating our children.
How can I contribute?
Contributions include auction item donations, monetary donations, planning and volunteering at the event.
Are my donations tax deductible?
MEF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All gifts are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Tax ID: 94-2791659
What is the online auction?
An auction everyone can participate in which will run from Tuesday, March 5, through Thursday, March 14. This auction will feature over 100 items with community-wide appeal.
Can I purchase auction gala tickets at the door?
No, tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance. Tickets will go on sale Tuesday, January 22, 2019.
What does my ticket purchase cover?
Your ticket purchase includes a champagne and hors d'oeuvres reception during the silent auction followed by a sit down dinner paired with red and white wine, a live auction, and dancing with Moraga's own DJ RyanO!
How do I get the ticket(s) I purchased?
There are no physical tickets for the event. Once you purchase your admission ticket, you will be added to our guest list.
What is the timeline for the evening?
The event goes from 6pm to 11pm with early check in beginning at 5:45pm and dancing beginning around 9pm. Arrive early to sign up for pay-to-play parties, which often sell out, and get your bids in for our silent auction!
What should I wear?
Cocktail attire.
What about parking?
Free parking is available in the Blackhawk Shopping Plaza. The closest parking is by Montessori or Francesca's businesses. The entrance to the museum is located at the end of the shopping plaza. Carpooling is encouraged.
