Why is MEF planning this Auction & Dinner Dance?

2016 marks the 35th year since the Moraga Education Foundation was founded in December, 1981.  We’d like to bring the Moraga community together to celebrate this anniversary and raise additional funds for public schools in Moraga.  This is a separate fundraising event from MEF's 2016-2017 annual campaign.

How will the funds be used?

Proceeds from the 35th Anniversary Auction and Dinner Dance will specifically benefit the MEF Endowment Fund.

What is the Endowment Fund?

The MEF Endowment Fund was created to establish a long-term, stable source of funding for public schools in Moraga.  Today, the Endowment Fund has over $725,000, which is more than half way to meeting the initial goal of $1 million and becoming a significant, self-perpetuating source of income.  For more information, click here.

How can I contribute?

Contributions include auction item donations, monetary donations, and time volunteered at the event.  If you are unable to attend, please consider donating one of the ways listed above!

Are my donations tax deductible?

MEF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.  All gifts are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.  Tax ID:  94-2791659

Can I purchase tickets at the door?

No, tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance.

What does my ticket purchase cover?

Your ticket purchase includes a champagne and hors d'oeuvres reception during the silent auction, followed by a delicious dinner paired with red and white wine, the live auction and dancing.

What should I wear?

Do we get a special rate if we stay overnight at the Claremont?

Yes,  you will receive a 10% discount on room rates, subject to availability. For more information about rooms and rates, click here.

What about parking?

Reduced fees for parking at the Claremont are $24 for valet and for $14 for self parking.
